What to buy next, ranked - must-haves first, nice-to-haves second. You decide on quality and spend.
Spring / Summer 2026 - Brussels
Format: item + colour, then candidate brands in brackets. No prices - judge each on quality and decide if it's worth the spend.
Standing rules: wide fit mandatory for all shoes. Natural or natural-blend fabrics only for blazers and shirts - reject polyester-viscose at mid/premium prices. Steer new colour into burgundy, forest green, steel blue, camel, mustard - already too many light blues (shirts) and olive/khaki (bottoms).
✅ MUST HAVE real gaps
1
Cognac brown derby shoes (Ecco, others)
Highest-impact single item. Fills the brown smart-shoe gap - current shoes are casual green or formal black, nothing in between. Wears with almost every outfit in the matrix. Ecco Metropole London (code 525604, colour 01482, size 44) was the reference pick.
Wide fit required Full leather, derby be.ecco.com
2
White shirts ×2 (SuitSupply, Tommy, others)
White shirt + salt-and-pepper jumper is a confirmed strong combo, and more whites are needed for layering under knitwear generally. Currently short on plain whites.
Check fabric Slim fit, M / EU 48 Cotton or cotton blend
💡 NICE TO HAVE if the quality justifies it
1
Burgundy jumper (Arket, others)
Core accent gap in knitwear. Best layering piece under the grey blazer and over white shirts. Wool-alpaca blend or fine merino.
Size S Wool-alpaca or merino
2
Burgundy polo (Arket, Tommy, others)
Polo colour gap. Strongest accent for video calls, office drop-ins, and biking.
Short sleeve Size S (Arket) / M (Tommy)
3
Olive / khaki unstructured blazer (SuitSupply, others)
Would round out the blazer rotation with an earth tone - pairs with burgundy and navy. Not urgent: grey and navy blazers cover most needs.
Natural fabric only Linen, wool, cotton or lyocell - reject poly-viscose SuitSupply, Brussels - Av. de la Toison d'Or - try in person
4
Accent polos & tees (Liu Jo, Tommy, others)
Refresh worn polos with accent colours in a slim Italian cut. Add colour where the wardrobe is thin, not where it's already crowded.
M / EU 48 Burgundy, forest green, steel blue, camel, mustard Avoid light blue & olive/khaki
5
Neutral sport shoe (others)
The dark blue and orange-green Hokas are near end of life. One neutral dark-grey or black sport shoe replaces both and stays versatile.
Wide fit Dark grey or black Avoid white and bright colours
